I’m sorry that this post is just a note, but how are you?
I’m doing pretty well, and forever and always, I’m so sorry that I fell off the face of the Earth — again… This summer was pretty hectic since I was preparing for my applications and finishing up the rest of my credits.
This is my senior year, and luckily I have a four day weekend this semester, and am potentially a part-time student next semester. My hope is to try and push out more content, but more high quality content — which makes it harder for me to upload and post as much as I want to.
Regardless, I am trying my best, and am currently building up a treasure chest full of content so I can stay ahead of the ball game, and not force y’all to wait so long.
If you guys have any ideas on what type of content you would like to see, please let me know in the comments, or on any social media platform you’re comfortable with! I may also throw a poll up soon.
With that, this concludes my note — I’ll talk to you guys soon, pinky promise!
How are y’all doing today? — I hope you’re having a pretty good day. I’m so sorry for missing Saturday’s post, I swear this one was suppose to be for then, but I was getting caught up with prepping for a wedding I was attending that I forgot.
Real quick, before we get started, I would like to apologize for my absence. I know I always say that I’ll come back with a bang and fail miserably, but I am trying. I’m off on a rocky start, this summer, but I am pushing through!
I know that I’m posting super late, but one thing led to another, and here we are. One of my goals for winter break was to try and take the time to up my Instagram game, and I think I’ve been improving.
To track my progress with editing, and my brand’s amount of quality, I’ve decided to share my IG feed each month!
My biggest issue was getting posts up on time, but I discovered Buffer. I promise you this app is a total game changer! Not only does it send me notifications to remind me to post, but it will let me schedule and preplan my captions and edits! Thanks to this useful app, I was able to manage my Instagram feed better.
I’m going to give 2018 everything I have, with little to no excuses. This past year wasn’t so bad, but it was a year of compromises. I compromised my creativity for my education, and I felt incomplete. I compromised my friendships and college experiences for meaningless work and unnecessary commitments. 2017 had it’s pros and cons, and I feel like I’ve managed, however, I want to thrive. Once again — long time no see. December is finally here, and that means my fall semester is coming to an end. I don’t know how many times I’ve apologized about being absent, and I honestly don’t know when I will stop.
Life has been crazy, and it’s been a constant and vicious cycle. But, I am hoping to get back into the groove of things soon. Here’s what I’ve got planned:
Vlogging: I think this will be the easiest way to just create content, and it will also help me capture the moments as a college student
Before blogging, I was really big on writing my own short stories and novellas; and recently, I’ve been getting an itch to write and read more. Again, this will help me create content when I’m just in a bloggers funk.
Aside from vlogging, I’ve also been craving the need to film Youtube videos again. Currently, I have some content that just needs to be edited, but overall I really want to film and editing something really nice.
Designing New Layout:
For the longest time ever, I really wanted to create a custom domain for My Authentic Nature, with an elevated look. As you can tell, from the list above, my blog is a place for me to be creative. Therefore, there isn’t just one “theme” or subject content. My Authentic Nature is my digital playground.
Overall, I just really want — and need — to be creative. I am just burnt out from the requirements of my degree and pre-requisites to get into graduate school. I am still figuring out a better posting-schedule, but once I get it finalized, I will let you know. It is likely that I will adjust my schedule based off my school schedule, so it will vary from time to time. Of course, I will keep you updated with everything!
I know it’s been a while since you last heard from me, but I can assure you that everything is alright! I am currently on a flight back home from a cousin’s trip, and that was the main reason for my absence as of late.
I also had summer school before this trip, but I’m finished with that too. I didn’t get the grade that I wanted, but I was close! Regardless of my absence, I did manage to get a lot of things done for M.A.N.
I currently am working with a friend for an official logo for our family, as well as a new layout for M.A.N. I am still planning on updating the blog this coming August, so be on the lookout! Once everything happens, I will blast the new launch on social media, as well as notify you with another note.
At the beginning of August, I have another trip, but rest assured, I am catching up on blog posts as we speak! I am still transitioning from my school year hiatus, but I’m working on it, I pinky promise. From now until the start of school, I am dedicated to get myself together, and to spend more time on M.A.N., and my other platforms.
Thank you for all your patience, and support! I love you~
To say this past school year went by without any major bumps would probably be the biggest lie in my entire life. This past school year was rough, to the point where it was effecting my health: physically, mentally, and emotionally.
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you probably noticed that I took a HUGE hiatus this school year; and, I sincerely apologize for doing that to you guys. There were just too many things going on that made me doubt every decision and step I took.
