I am a Bay Area native with years of experience in event coordinating, marketing and advertising, office management, customer service and the food and beverage industry. I went to San Francisco State University and majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I enjoyed planning, coordinating and running promotional events for Chevron and Toyota up and down the West Coast while at large international advertising agencies and small creative shops in San Francisco. While working full-time in advertising, I was going to college full-time and worked as a server and bartender on the weekends.

After my time in Advertising, I devoted my time to the food and beverage industry. Having a love for bar-tending and dealing with customers one-on-one, I went from being a part time bartender to bar manager, Marketing Manager and then Restaurant Manager over a year and a half. During this time, I managed and coordinated small company parties and luncheons to 200+ fundraising events and monthly UFC Pay-Per-View screenings and New Year’s Eve parties.

Staying busy, being the day-to-day contact for clients and customer service simply just fits my personality. I am also a Stella & Dot Independent Stylist and enjoy working with fashion accessories. Since December 2013, I have been an Operating Partner, assisted with the development of one of seven sexiest restaurants in San Francisco, California according to Zagat. It is called Dirty Water. I have been the Event Director since October 2015. We opened June 2015.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching movies and going to concerts – all while attempting to stay fit. I reside in the East Bay with my 6-year-old Boston Terrier, Bevo, and have dreams of having a beach house in Hawaii.

This blog is a journey as an entrepreneur in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area that offers exposure to many different cultures, food, beverages, entertainment and the growing and very necessary tech and social media industries. Not only am I sharing what the Bay Area has to offer, I love to travel and want to explore and share what far off lands are like. Life is not meant to be spent in one place.

I enjoy meeting new people and would like to connect with fellow bloggers, entrepreneurs, event planners and coordinators, and inspiring and aspiring businesswomen like myself.

  1. Pie or cake?
Oooh, Fresh Strawberry Pie or Banana Cream Pie from Marie Callendar’s Restaurant & Bakery. It will automatically make any terrible day better.
  2. What’s your favorite candy?
Strawberry sour belts. I remember a time when my aunt bought my cousins and I an entire box from the liquor store. Normally they were $.10 a piece. My mouth is watering as I write this.
  3. Coffee or tea? Both? Favorite type?
I drink green tea but sometimes I’ll crave a soy vanilla latte with no foam and recently a friend introduced me to Philz Coffee. The mint mojito iced coffee is delicious.
  4. What’s your favorite retail store?
White House Black Market. They have so much of my money.
  5. Favorite animal?
A penguin. They waddle, they’re chubby and cute. My Boston Terrier looks like one from behind when he’s sitting down.
  6. Favorite TV show/ drama?
Lately, Game of Thrones. I love strong female leads and this past season each one of them are making it hard to choose which one is my favorite now.
  7. Ketchup or mustard?
    Ketchup with Tabasco.
  8. What’s your blogging niche?
I have always been entrepreneurial, a go getter, busy and taking in as much of life as I can. I am motivated and empowered by strong, independent women. I would say my posts are my adventures, views, experiences whether they be about my faults or successes, as a woman that is always trying to better herself, live life and hopefully empower and motivate other women and young ladies along the way.
  9. Do you take your own photos? If so, what camera equipment do you use?
Yes, I take all of my own photos and use my iPhone 6. I have almost 5,000 on my phone, which means a lot of potential blog content!
  10. Are you a full time blogger? If not, would you ever consider being full time?
No, I am not a full time blogger. I would absolutely consider doing it full time if it made me enough money. I would blog from a balcony on the Amalfi Coast as I drink limoncello, post photos of women winemakers in Australia and finally go back to the Philippines, meet distant relatives and attempt to learn Tagalog and write about it. Mabuhay!

Until Next Time xoxo
